ARTIST: BEYOND BLACK VOID TITLE: Desolate FORMAT: CD GENRE: Doom Metal LABEL: Marche Funebre Productions
Beyond Black Void was founded mid 2002 in an attempt to create opressive, minimalistic and very desolate music. The first piece portrays the concept of desolation itself through long echoing leads mixed with massive funeral doom parts. Storm Over Jupiter, though the longest track on the album only tells of one short moment of clarity caught in the everlasting storms on Jupiter, facing a clear and inevitable end. The heaviest track on Desolate, a droning storm without end. EverVoid was the 3rd track written by S. – a dirge like ode to the voids of reality – the true erazers of life and memory, gateways to whatever lies beyond the limitations of life. These 3 pieces make the first –and so far, only- album by Beyond Black Void, lasting well over one hour and bringing the heaviest and most nihilistic in drone/funeral/ambient doom. Released early 2003, Desolate received quite some positive feedback from the funeral doom scene and eventually caught the interest of March Funebre Productions. The re-release features the same 3 massive tracks but with improved sound quality and completely remastered. Limited edition in slipcase... don't miss out on this!
